Jesh de Rox + AGWPJA ~ Sam

•February 9, 2010 • Leave a Comment

Hi guys, how have you been doing?

The Lightedpixels team attended Jesh de Rox workshop last week. It was an incredible time spent with Jesh and the other participants. Our lives were touched by Jesh, who has allowed us to see the beauty and love that each and every single person has to offer. The team has grown closer to one another and we’re definitely more in sync with each other (which can only translate to much more awesome work for you guys to enjoy!). Thank you, dear readers and friends, for being so patient with us and continuing to read our blogs and facebook updates! We count ourselves incredibly blessed and honoured to have been able to witness and capture the love that you bring to your families and friends on your amazing wedding day. For that, we thank you.

Also another thing to add – we’re incredibly proud of Kelvin and Alwin whose work has been placed in the AGWPJA’s recent competition.

We’re extremely pleased that Kelvin has been placed 9th overall amongst all the photographers for 2009. Congrats Kel! :D (Do we get a treat? :p Haha)

This is the first time Alwin is taking part in this competition and we’re so proud of him!

Congrats guys! (:

Oh, in case i do not get the chance to blog again before Chinese New Year – here’s wishing you Gong Xi Fa Cai from all of us here at Lightedpixels! And for the people in love, Happy Valentine’s! We are again, incredibly blessed to have known such awesome people who are in love.

I have been featured on the latest issue of World of Watches! I quite like watches and was pleasantly surprised when WOW called to ask if they could feature me in their wedding edition. I even had my first portraiture done by another photographer besides the guys at Lightedpixels! Ha. It’s a great honor to be placed alongside guys gown designer Ted Wu, Florist Justin, Wedding Planner, Vernetta Lopez and Musician, Eddy Teo. Here’s the article and oh dun believe the image of me… I dun look as good as the guy! =)

Perth 2009

•January 19, 2010 • 10 Comments

I love the city of Perth. It’s got a nice quiet vibe. The light is good, the people are warm and the pace is just about right. =) I had the opportunity to shoot for two couples in Perth in October last year. It was the first time I have shot there in more than a year. I use to shoot in Perth about 3 times a year for the previous 3 years. The break however, allowed a fresh perspective on Perth and the images from this trip are quite different from all that I have captured before. So sometimes a break does help quite a bit. =)

Here are some images from the first couple, Nicholas and Evelyn, who did a two day shoot with us.

Farewell Dear Al!

Alvelyn first joined us as an intern back in Oct after graduating from La-Salle school of fine arts. Over the last three months, she has done a number of test shoots and accompanied me on a number of shoots. Sadly, the internship period is over, and we have both mutually decided that it’s best she pursues her own interest. We would like to thank her for her stay with us. It’s been interesting working with her and I am sure she will find success in what she chooses to pursue next. Her passion in photography is obvious. =)

All the Best Yi Xin!

Yi Xin joined us as a photographer about a year back and has since developed into a fine wedding photographer. Earlier last month, she explained to me about her shift in priorities and how she would like to spend more time with her family and church. As such she has decided to pursue her own photography interest through her own photography studio to allow her more time and flexibility. We are sad to see her leave but also happy that she is continuing her journey. We are very thankful for her contribution for the past year she has been with us and would continue to support her in anyway we can. =) I am pretty sure she will find joy in what she does.

For all couples who have signed up with Yi Xin, Yi Xin will be following through the assignments and we will continue to support her with all other administrative needs.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at 6474 6556 or email us at info@lightedpixels.com if you have any queries.
